Coverse Business Card (with color scheme)

This is my Converse logo change business card. For my card I took the original star logo and incorporated it into the lettering for the O and then with the V I made it look like the bottom of two shoes and wrote Chuck Taylors on it because that it the main brand shoe from the converse company. Then I got my color scheme below entitled Stella and lined everything up and created my business card.

Black Swan Cards

This is my level one logo card in which I changed all the fonts and added a leaf pattern to the swan and had a pastel color background.
This is my level two card and for this one I chose a solid pink so it wasn't that appealing then added a linear gradient and then copied the swan and shrunk them in size and used different fonts.
For my level three I used a plain grey background and used the same font except on my email address to make it stand out and then added a red glow to the swan and copied it over to create a heart shape to fit the theme.

Frog Pointillism

This is my frog pointillism that I got off the internet and used the brush tool and set the point to hard round and changed the color with the color picker and used the dots to create the image seen. Then I used the rectangle tool and set the background to a purple to make it easier to see.

ColorWheel

For my pointillism I used the brush tool and used the color picked and would color over in a new layer over top of the already in place color wheel and changed the stroke to hard rounded and then changed the tip to the given sizes of 30, 20, 10, and 5. I also changed the edging of my tip to a softened 8 to give it a less pix-elated look.

Film Strip

With my image I first found it off of the internet and copied it over into Firefox. Then I used the marquee tool and opened up a new tab and copied it over and re-sized the image and gave them each an outline. Then I pieced them all together to form the original picture and then used the scale tool and rotated them around.

Face

This is Humble Hailey. With her face I use the shape tool and then the sub-select tool to form it into a head shape. Then I opened up my folder where I made my eye and copied it over on my face and made a copy of it and flipped it over using the scale-tool. With my nose I used the shape tool and made to circles and change the edge to feather and lightened the shade and formed it around the shape of a nose as well but lighter. Then with my lips I used a picture off of Google and used the magic wand tool and used the shape and then the color tool and set it as a custom and filled it in. Then I used the smudge tool to push the colors around to give it not such a solid look to it. Then behind the lips I added a tongue with a texture to look like taste buds. Then with the hair i used the shape tool and the sub-select tool to form it around the head and gave it a feather to lighten it and a slight wood texture.

Eye

With my eye I started with the circle tool and created an oval with a dark skin color pink. Then added a second layer with a white oval to fit inside the other. Then I used the circle tool and made a circle to fit inside the white layer and gave it the color blue and gave it a gradient of ripples and stretched those ripples out to create the color distortion. With the pupil I made a small black circle that was about half the size of the blue. Then I added a slight blur to it so it would blend in well. With the eye lashes I used the circle tool and made an oval and used the sub select tool to form around the eye its self to create an eyeliner look and used ovals and the sub select tool to create the eye lashes themselves and did this all around the eye. Then I created a third oval and made it black with a low feather to shade around the eyeliner to bled into the eye. Then I made an oval and used the sub select tool to shape an eyebrow.

Spot Colors

With this image I first used the magic wand tool and got the bigger areas around the tree and change them to sepia. Then I used the lasso tool and zoomed in about 200 and got the areas inside my tree between the branches and changed the back to the sepia tone.

With my flower I traced the edging around the flower with the lasso tool and filled the outside with gray scale and got the spots in between the flower between pedals with the lasso and filled it with gray scale.

With the cabin I first used the magic wand tool and filled the sky and the mountains surrounded. Then I used the lasso tool to fill the extra spots and trace the outline of the cabin. Then I changed it all to gray scale.

Butterfly

First I started with a black background and added two more square layers and did different shades of green. Then  I first started with my flower and used the circle tool and stretched it to more of an oval and made many copy's and made the pedals two different shades of pink. Then I made the first layer and changed the lengths of each and made a second layer and did the same compressed them again and made the third layer. Then I made a plain circle and added it to the center and changed the pattern and faded the edging out to blend more into the flower. First with my butterfly I used the circle tool and changed the shape with the sub-selection tool and did the same for the inner and shrunk it down and group them together. Then I copied and reflected it over to the other side. Then I created the body with the sub-selection tool and created another oval inside it and changed it to a lighter green than the outside. Lastly for my bottom wings I did the same as the top wings but more rounded and added an inner glow of black and two dots with the circle tool and then copied and reflected it over to the other side.

Emotions

Curiosity: For this one i chose a very random turquoise color background and added a satin gradient and stretched the centered line more vertically and then faded the waves out to give it the blurred fuzzy look. I chose Curiosity because there are lines going in different directions and then all blurring which looks confusing.
Anguish: For anguish i chose very bold colors to pop out so i set a solid blue background and then added a waves gradient and changed it to a basic solid red. Then I used the the centered line and stretched the wave horizontally and faded it out. Then I chose anguish because the two are very bold colors and stand out and give the emotion of anger.
Pleasure: For this one I went and added the cone gradient and centered it. Then i went into fill options and went to edit and chose the pastel color sequence which created to the rainbow effect around the cone eclipse. This represented pleasure because pleasure means being happy and these are very bright and colorful.
Irritability: For confused I set the background color as more of an offset blue and added the folds gradient and stretched it more vertically and farther away. This gave it many different patterns and blurs and compression to create the look of confusion. This is because there are so many lines and different shapes and irritable to look at.

Loneliness: For loneliness I set the the back to a lighter more moody blue and gave it the gradient of bars and went into fill options and put in the swirl texture and lightened it to about 5% to make it more bare. Then I went into colors and stretched the bar colors farther out to have the two lines more spaced. These colors for me are a sad feeling effect and the lines keep going makes me feel sad.

Cornucopia

To start off my cornucopia I first added an appealing background and gave it a sandy pattern to it. Then I opened a new tab and copied a leaf from the internet and traced it over and then copied it over to my first tab and copied it and lined it around the edges. Then I started with a small circle and made multiple and layered it and then added a darker one in front to add the effect of dept and that the cornucopia was hallow. Then i added a wood pattern to it and grouped it together. Then I started with my pumpkin and layered the circles with the vector tool and then added a stem with the rectangle shape. Like many of my other fruits and veggies i used the circle tool and then used the sub select to shape it. Then i used the fill tool and colored them and gave them either a pattern or gradient to give it texture. Then I changed the layer to give it a 3D effect.

Optimizing and Exporting Graphics

                            Optimizing and Exporting Graphics

When optimizing and exporting graphics things that can help you would to first set up a 4-Up frame to use and change the pictures and see which one best fits. Then your going to want to change your export default with either a GIF or JPEG setting. Then you can use the box arrow and set your quality from a range of 0-100 to get better pixel quality in your frame. Then you can use the Matte tool and change your canvas color and with its set effects or in properties. Then you have a smoothing tool which in using can make the image created less blurry and cleaner feel to it.
